Technical Consultant
NAPA Design Solutions is looking for a Technical Consultant to support both our existing and new Naval Architecture customers. Our clients operate in the global shipbuilding and maritime industry.
The role and your team:
You are a member of NAPA’s global Services organization and work in a team of highly skilled Naval Architects and Structural Designers who share a deep passion for ship design and engineering. Our strong technical background allows us to truly understand our customers’ challenges and deliver solutions that make a real impact.
In this role, you will be a trusted expert for NAPA’s ship design software. You will support our customers in solving real-world design challenges, and helping them get the most out of our solutions. You will also play a key role in creating training materials and delivering user trainings either at NAPA offices or directly at customer sites.
To ensure the best possible customer experience, you will collaborate closely with our Sales and Software Development teams, contributing to long-term partnerships and continuous product improvement.

The role is permanent and full-time, and your home base can be our office in Helsinki (Ruoholahti), Finland. You can work in hybrid-mode. This role involves occasional travel, both within Finland and internationally.
Are you our ideal candidate?
You could be a good fit for this role if you have:
More than two years of work experience performing ship structural design or structural analyses
MSc or BSc in Science or some other domain related to our focus (e.g. Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture)
Ability to work independently in close cooperation with other team members
It would be beneficial if you also had:
Experience in a design office or shipyard
Experience in structural detail design
Insight into Finite Element Analyses
Basic programming skills
Experience with CAD/CAE systems, for example NAPA Steel, AVEVA Marine, Cadmatic
Previous experience in utilization of AI in service operations or data analysis
We hope you also have excellent teaching skills and want to take the initiative and responsibility for your work. At NAPA, our working language is English, so you must have fluent written and spoken English skills. We also expect you to be eligible to work in Finland.
