The role and the team

NAPA Safety Solutions is looking for a motivated student to join the Log Team as a Software Developer Trainee. In this role, you will contribute to the development and maintenance of NAPA Onboard products while learning how professional software development works in practice.

This year, the team is exploring new and exciting directions for how our products work — including ideas to make our software smarter and more intuitive for end users. As a trainee, you may have the opportunity to contribute to some of these forward-looking initiatives alongside the core team.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing and triaging technical software bug tickets

• Assisting in the creation and maintenance of technical documentation

• Contributing to the improvement of internal development tooling

• Actively participating in team activities, including standups and code reviews

The role is temporary, lasting 3 months, and can be part-time or full-time depending on your availability. You will be working on-site at our Galați office during the summer. The working language is English, and you will have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues across different teams and locations.

When you start, you will be assigned an onboarding buddy from the team who will help you settle in and introduce you to the NAPA way of working.

The position is available for summer 2026, with a start date to be agreed upon.

What we expect from you

The requirements to ensure a successful internship are:

• Studies in a relevant field, e.g., computer science or mathematics/informatics

• Basic understanding of software design and development

• Ability to think through software execution and approach problems analytically

• Interest in understanding the software development lifecycle

• Fluent in written and spoken English

• Good teamwork and collaboration abilities

Selected candidates will be given a take-home assignment to assess their skills before the interview stage.
